[Pre-order required] Rany first discovered this preserve served as a palate cleanser in high-end sushi bars in Tokyo. Back home, she spent months recreating that magic. The secret was ume: Japanese green plum with a unique aroma, widely used for its detoxifying and digestive properties. This marriage of two superfoods delivers a rare flavour complexity with an exquisite zing.

Serve it as an amuse-bouche, a side with roasts, braais, bruschetta and salads. Great with cheese boards containing feta and Boursin! Ume syrup also makes delicious salad dressings and spritz. Find the recipes on the label.

My most favourite flavour in the world!

These are unlike anything I've ever tasted before. They're refreshing, exciting and I AM OBSESSED! As wonderful as these are added to a salad or cheese board, I can often be found just eating them straight out of the jar. I don't like to share these when I have them in the fridge but everyone who's been lucky enough to get a taste goes nuts for them. When I've finished the jar of tomatoes, I add the remaining syrup to ice cold sparkling water for a super refreshing drink. It's also pretty sensational added to a vodka & soda.
