How to host birthday party & private event like a PRO!
February 19, 20233 min read
Celebrating birthday and bonding over good food is a great idea. But hosting a party at home can be daunting. It's easy to get caught up in the details and miss out on the fun, which is where we come in.
Our private cooking party is more than just stress-free celebration. The experience of bringing your friends and family, learning how to make your favourite iconic Asian dishes and working together to create a scrumptious feast is a bucket list item.
Planning a private event can be overwhelming, so let us help you. We have been doing this since 2017 with the most discerning private and corporate clients such as Estee Lauder, PWC, JP Morgan, RMB and Primedia and we have tips to share.
Step 1: Book The Date
Contacting us early on is crucial, even if you don't have a confirmed date. We'll provide you with two options to share with your guests and confirm.
To secure your preferred date and time and ensure your guests can attend, we recommend planning your event at least 6 weeks in advance, ideally 3 months. Our classes are available on weekday mornings, weekday evenings, Saturday mornings and afternoons.
Keep in mind that some guests may not be able to confirm their schedules well in advance, which is the top reason private events are cancelled. Proceed with those who can join and keep others in the loop in case they're able to attend.
Step 2: Pick The Class & Menu
Now you need to select ONE class from our 20 classes. We typically propose 2 options after receiving the following information:
How many halal, vegan / vegetarian, pescatarian and no pork & beef eaters?
VAT Inclusive: We issue tax invoices with the client’s VAT number.
Our all inclusive package covers everything you need for the day as below:
Exclusive use of the venue for 4 hours
Everything needed for cooking: chef & team, recipes, ingredients, apron and equipment
Welcome snack & non alcoholic drink
Sit-down dining at the end of the class
Excluded are alcoholic beverages, corkage (R 50 / bottle), service charge (R 300 / session) and additional hour (R 750 / hour).
My Group Is Too Small / We Have Undecided Members
If you have a group of 6 people, simply let us know. With 2 months' notice, you can choose the class and date, and we'll open the remaining seats to the public to fill up on our website. For this, our regular class fee (R 850 - 895 pp, excluding additional beverages served in the class) will apply.
Undecided members can book directly on our website once their schedules are clearer. On the day of the class, weather permitting, we'll even give your group a dedicated table for added privacy.
Our modern and spacious studio overlooking a beautiful garden offers an exclusive and private setting for your event. Located in Waterfall Estate in Midrand, our studio is easily accessible from Pretoria, Centurion, Sandton and other area of North Johannesburg.
We are here to ensure that your private cooking class becomes an event of a lifetime. Simply send WhatsApp message to Rany (064 527 3067). We look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your guests.
