Our donko shiitake are cultivated 100% naturally on oak logs in Japan. In Japan, it is cherished as “the steak from the mountain", thanks to its soft and chewy texture and succulent flesh.

An excellent garnish, especially for mildly seasoned roasts, braais and noodles. Slice and serve it with grilled steak, salads, rice, or even gourmet cheese toasties. The brine is ideal for making salad dressing: find the recipe on the label.
