Hands-on class to master iconic Vietnamese food.

Any avid travelling foodie would tell you that some of the best food they’ve had was eaten on the tiny plastic chairs in the streets of Vietnam. In 2018, I spent two weeks in Hanoi and Hoi-an learning the art of Vietnamese cuisine. In this class, I will share my favourite Vietnamese street food and tips to equip you to bring your loved ones back to the alleyways of Vietnam.


Course Contents

  1. Banh Xeo: savoury pancake with crunchy vegetables
  2. Nuoc Cham: iconic Vietnamese dipping sauce
  3. Vietnamese peanut sauce
  4. Bun Cha: grilled lamb meatball and rice noodle
  5. Cha Gio: fried Vietnamese spring roll

    • Mandatory Ingredients (no substitutions): chicken, lamb, coconut milk, fish sauce, soy sauce, sesame
    • Optional ingredients: prawn, coriander
    • Relatively gluten-free class: please join if you can consume soy sauce.
    • Duration: 4 hours / 40% demo + 60% hands-on
    • Class frequency: 2 classes in 2022

      I did a lesson on the Vietnamese food with Rani from umami food studio,absolutely loved it. She makes it soo simple and the food taste great. Have also done the Korean chicken lesson. Looking forward to doing more classes with her.
